Legacy Music: Utah County Choir and Orchestra

Based in Pleasant Grove Utah, Legacy Music: Utah County Choir and Orchestra has participants from all over the area. What started off as a Young Single Adult Initiative for the Alpine Utah YSA Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has quickly developed into a community Choir and Orchestra. Musical Director, Levi Tuaitanu, was in a meeting with local and area leadership of the Church when the question was asked "what can we do to help individuals in this area come closer unto Christ?". Almost immediately he had the thought "Handel's Messiah and Rob Gardner's Lamb of God". Twice more the questions was asked, and twice more the impression came to plan to perform two sacred and beautiful music oratorios. While no longer under the sponsorship of the Church, Legacy Music: Utah County Choir and Orchestra, strives to follow the teachings of the Church and extending the invitation to all to "Come Unto Christ" by participating as ensemble or being a part of the audience.

About the Director

Levi Tuaitanu’s love for music began early in his Utah home, where piano lessons, voice training, and family sing-alongs shaped his passion for performing. Throughout school, he eagerly joined musicals, choirs, and productions, even stepping onto the podium his senior year to conduct while interning with his choral director. Guided by mentors Trevor Manning, Stewart Shelley, Jim Wilcock, and his Auntie Jen, Levi developed a deep respect for music and the joy it brings to others. After serving a two-year mission in Perth, Australia, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he returned home with a broader perspective and pursued studies in Music Education at Utah Valley University. He's now working toward a degree in Business through BYU–Pathway Worldwide. God and family come first for him with music close behind—tied only with his lifelong love of horses. Whether in front of a choir, on horseback, or surrounded by loved ones, he finds joy in creating meaningful connections.
